Wish you could have two different experiences when watching a cinema at the big screens, where you could view a scene both from a hero and a villain's point of view just by flipping your glasses?
The 'smart glasses' by Invivision glasses, a product developed by Ontario based PipeDream Interactive enables viewers to have diverse experience when watching movies on a screen.
Apparently, this patent-pending eyewear has filters that separates streams of 3D images. This ranges from giving dual perspectives during a movie to providing subtitles only for those who want to see them. Whoa!
The glasses make use of the fact that 3D movies work when two image streams are displayed simultaneously, but they are slightly offset.
‘In 3D entertainment, our brains then combine the two nearly-identical images, and thus depth is created,’ says the company.
Using two image streams separately, it creates the the illusion of two completely different scenes. Now how amazing is that?
Not just that. Flipping one side of the glasses up and the other down will produce a standard 3D effect.
Truly a Gen-X invention!
