The OnePlus Ace 6 was introduced in China in October 2025 as the newest smartphone aimed at performance. Rumors about its next version have already started to appear. An insider hints that the rumored device, called the OnePlus Ace 7, may utilize Qualcomm's top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. A test model of the phone is believed to feature an OLED display with the fastest refresh rate seen in any OnePlus smartphone so far. The OnePlus Ace 7 is expected to include a large 9,000mAh battery. A post on Weibo by the source Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) mentions that the engineering test model of the OnePlus Ace 7 is now being examined with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. This processor already powers the flagship OnePlus 15, which is sold worldwide.
The leak additionally states that the rumored phone might have a 6.78-inch flat OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K. A significant feature of this display could be its elevated refresh rate. The insider noted a minimum confirmed refresh rate of 185Hz, while some tests may even achieve up to 240Hz.
For reference, OnePlus currently provides a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz on various models. This includes phones exclusive to China, such as the OnePlus Ace 6 and Ace 6 Ultra, as well as global releases like the OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R, and OnePlus Nord 6. Besides, the insider has indicated that the Ace 7 could come with a 9,000mAh battery. The OnePlus Nord 6 also notably uses a 9,000mAh battery. The expected OnePlus device might support 100W wired fast charging. DCS also mentioned that there is a cooling fan within the test model. However, it’s not yet confirmed if this active cooling system will be included in the final retail version. Earlier leaks from other sources also support the idea of an internal cooling fan, which could help manage heat during long gaming sessions. Similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus Ace 7 is anticipated to be revealed in the fourth quarter of 2026. While some of its features have been hinted at through the engineering prototype, the company will probably share precise information closer to its release date.
