The Samsung Galaxy M56 5G made its debut in India on Thursday. It boasts a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor along with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. With a sleek 7.2mm profile, it is reported to be 30 percent thinner compared to the previous Galaxy M55 5G, which was launched in India in April 2024. The Galaxy M56 5G is said to have 36 percent narrower bezels and a display that is 33 percent brighter than its predecessor. In India, the starting price for the Samsung Galaxy M56 5G is Rs. 27,999 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Customers can start purchasing it from April 23 at 12pm IST through both Amazon and the Samsung India website. HDFC Bank cardholders can receive an instant discount of Rs. 3,000. The phone is available in Black and Light Green colors.
This device features a 6.73-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,340 pixels) sAMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster technology. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core processor and comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, as well as up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device runs on Android 15, customized with the One UI 7 interface. It is promised to receive six years of major operating system updates along with six years of security patches.

The front camera stands at 12 megapixels and supports HDR video recording. The phone features AI photography enhancements such as object eraser, image clipper, and editing suggestions.
Powering the Samsung Galaxy M56 5G is a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging capability. For durability, it includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Connectivity options encompass 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The device's dimensions reflect a thickness of 7.2mm and a weight of 180 grams.
