Shreyas Hareesh, a 13-year-old boy dies during a national championship race at Madras International Circuit. On a fateful day, Shreyas faced an unfortunate death on the race track. He was competing in the third round of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India’s Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship.

Now concerns are raised about the safety measures and the age limits. Akbar Ebrahim, President of the Federation of Motorsports of Motorsports Clubs of India confirmed that they are going to investigate the incident and a committee will be formed for investigation, which will be completed within 10 days.

Earlier the age limit was extended to 13 from 11 years and now even the 13 years age limit is turning out to be raising concerns. Akbar also said they are going to investigate how the helmet came out from his head. Minimum certification is required for participating in national championships and they are going to investigate the case in every possible aspect.

Shreya’s track footage shows that his helmet came off when he fell down. He suffered from falling from his bike even without any contact with co-bikers. After his fall, the rider behind him had no space and no time to react and ran over him, which led to death.
