India's top badminton star Saina Nehwal crashed out of the All England Championship in the women's singles quarterfinal match on Friday night.

The seventh seed badminton player was defeated in the quarterfinal by Chinese fourth seed Shixian Wang in straight games 17-21, 10-21, in a match that was over in 43 minutes.

Wang will play against fellow Chinese second seed Yihan Wang in the semifinals. Yihan Wang had outplayed Korea's Yeon Ju Bae 21-8, 21-13 in her quarterfinal match.

The ace shuttler was the last Indian player in the championships.

Saina Nehwal has entered the women's singles quarterfinals in the Championship by defeating American Beiwen Zhang in three games on Thursday night.
