The Indian football team will start its qualifier match against Oman on June 11 at the Sree Kanteerava stadium in Bengaluru at 7 pm onwards. India’s second match against Iran on September 8 is also hosted by the same stadium.
India’s last two matches will be held in Delhi, against Guam on November 12 followed by the match against Turkmenistan on March 29. After the return of Englishman Stephen Constantine as the head coach, Indian team has been qualified for the second round after beating Nepal as Sunil Chhetri scored two goals in Guwahati.
Among forty teams 12 teams would be forwarded to third round. The 12 teams will be divided into two groups and the top two in each group will be qualified for the World Cup from the continent. The Indian squad is expecting better out come this time.
