The Black caps New Zealand is touring in India and the ODI series ended up as a huge embarassment for New Zealand. The team lost all the three ODIs and India swept the series by 3-0. The last and the final ODI took place yesterday in Holkar Stadium. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first. India scored a record total of 385 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Shubman Gill (112), Rohit Sharma (101) and Hardik Pandya (54) are the top scorers for the side. Blair Tickner (3/76), Jacob Duffy (3/100) and Micheal Bracewell (1/51) took the wickets among the bowlers of New Zealand.
Chasing a huge total, New Zealand failed to live up to the expectations and fell short by 90 runs. Devon Conway (138), Henry Nicholls (42) and Mitchell Santner (34) are the top scorers among the New Zealand batsmen. Shardul Thakur (3/45), Kuldeep Yadav (3/62) and Yuzvendra Chahal (2/43) bagged the wickets among the Indian bowlers. Feeling the pressure, the batsmen of New Zealand could not stand before the Indian bowling lineup. The team tumbled down for 295 in just 41.2 overs. New Zealand will play three T20s and the first one will take place on January 27th.
