India has been touring in England and the ODI series came to an end with the decider yesterday. After winning the T20 series, India also sealed the ODI series against England by 2-1. The third ODI took place in Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Sunday. India won the toss and elected to bowl first. England was restricted to 259 and they went all out in 45.5 overs. Jos Buttler (60), Jason Roy (41) and Moeen Ali (34) are the top scorers for the side. Among the Indian bowlers, Hardik Pandya (4/24), Yuzvendra Chahal (3/60) and Mohammed Siraj (2/66) picked up the wickets for the side.
Chasing a target of 260, team India completed the chase in 42.1 overs by losing 5 wickets. Rishabh Pant (125 not out), Hardik Pandya (71) are the top scorers among the Indian batsmen. Reece Topley (3/35), Brydon Carse (1/45) and Craig Overton (1/54) took the wickets among the English bowlers. Rishabh Pant has been awarded with the Player of the Match for his century and Hardik Pandya is named as the Player of the Series. Team India will tour in West Indies and the first ODI will commence on July 22nd. India will play three ODIs and three T20s with West Indies during the tour. Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli has been rested for the West Indies tour.
