As predicted, Team India took over the lead in the first test match against South Africa that is taking place in Super Sport Park Cricket Stadium in Gauteng. Team India took a clear lead in the first innings after scoring 327 and restricting South Africa for 197. The South African bowlers did well with the ball and the Team India tumbled down for 174 in their second innings. KL Rahul (23), Rishabh Pant (34) and Ajinkya Rahane (20) are the top scorers for the Indian side. Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen took four wickets each among the South African bowlers. Chasing a huge total, South African top order tumbled down.
The team scored 94 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Indian bowlers have to complete their task to end up victorious in the first test match against South Africa. The host need 211 runs to win while India need 6 wickets. South Africa lost Aiden Markram (1), Keegan Petersen (17), Rassie van der Dussen (11) and Keshav Maharaj (8) on the fourth day.
