This morning Australia declared their innings at their overnight score 251 for six, leaving India to chase 349 runs in 90 overs to win the last match. Murali Vijay scored 80 of 165 balls and Rohit Sharma, Kohli and Rahane tried to save India from losing the match to Australia. Suresh Raina and Wriddhiman Saha failed to defend and to open the account. Ravichandran Ashwin protected India from Australian bowlers with bat and scored 1 run in 22 deliveries. Ajinkya Rahane (38) and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar (20) was on crease till match draws hung.
In the four match Border _ Gavaskar trophy Australia won the first two matches and India managed to draw the rest two matches. India skipper Virat Kohli shown his consistency throughout the series, and mesmerized with four centuries in this series. Murali, Lokesh Rahul, and Rahane played well in some innings.
With strategic batting Indian batsmen disagreed to hand over the match, match has been drawn and the Aussies won the series 2-0. Australia skipper Steven Smith was named the man of the match and the man of the series with four centuries for the winning side.
