Blackheads are the tiny black dots that are visible on your nose and chin area. They are caused by dirt, bacteria and dead cells that clog pores, resulting in black heads. These black spots need to be removed regularly as they look unsightly on your face. You do not need to visit a beauty parlour to remove them. Here are a few home remedies to remove blackheads or prevent their occurrence.
Honey and sugar scrub
Make a scrub using honey, lemon and some sugar. Take some mixture and use it to scrub your face gently with this mixture. As sugar melts it works as a natural scrub, removing blackheads, dirt and dead cells. Keep it on for ten minutes before rinsing your face.
Oats Scrub
Take some ground oats on a bowl and add a pinch of salt and some olive oil to it. Mix the ingredients well. Use this mixture to gently scrub your facial skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.
Steaming
Taking steam on your face is another easy way to remove blackheads. Steaming your face loosens the blackheads and it becomes easy to remove them.
Washing and exfoliation
To prevent the appearance of blackheads it’s necessary to keep your face free of dirt and dead cells. Wash your face at least twice everyday to keep your facial skin clear of dirt and bacteria. Besides, exfoliate twice in a week to prevent dead cells from clogging the pores. Use home-made scrubs like the above two scrubs to exfoliate your skin gently.
