The capital city of India is abuzz with activity as dignitaries, VVIPs, VIPs and celebrities are flocking to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to witness the coronation of nation's new PM — Narendra Modi.

But one man to give the historic event a miss will be the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who has excused himself from the swearing-in ceremony of NaMo.  But why?

The camaraderie between the cine superstar Rajinikanth and PM elect Narendra Modi is no secret. Also, the jokes of Rajinikanth’s power being behind Modi's win is all over social media. So why this sudden reluctance on Thalaiva's part to be a part of the exclusive event?

Grapevine suggests that Rajini turned down the invitation owing to growing political unrest in Tamil Nadu over inviting Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa to the swearing in ceremony. Modi’s decision to invite Rajpaksa has been severely condemned by many Tamil Nadu regional parties.

It seems that Rajinikanth is playing safe by declining the invitation so as to not irk his Tamil fans down south.

He politely turned down the invitation citing his cine  commitments. Apparently he said that he would be shooting on May 26 and won't be able to make it to the event.

Rajinikanth, who is well known for his diplomatic humbleness and his political correctness, is finding it hard to keep away from limelight owing to his decline of NaMo's invite.

Hope that Thalaiva's politically correct decision to miss Modi’s swearing-in doesn’t irk Narendra Modi and the two super heroes, in their own forte, steer the country to a brighter future ahead future.
