For all who have been waiting with bated breath for megastar Rajinikanth's magnum opus 'Kochadaiiyaan' to hit the big screens, the wait gets a little longer now!

Initially slated for release on 9th May, the film will now hit the screens only two weeks later on 23 May.

Announcing the big news on their Facebook Page, Eros International explained that the film's release had to be postponed owing to a larger demand for the 2D and 3D prints.

However, a little birdie tweets that the film had to be delayed owing to legal matters, it seems. According to the grapevine, the bank moved to the court and stalled the release, seeking repayment of 40 crore loan.

Meanwhile, the producers have decided to refund all money to moviegoers who have booked tickets for the film in advance.
