The NEET-PG exam for admission to postgraduate medical courses will be held this month, officials said this afternoon after the home ministry met officials of the state cybercrime agency. This official added: The questions are prepared two hours in advance. The NEET-PG exam scheduled for June 23 was postponed hours before it was scheduled to begin due to allegations of paper leaks and other irregularities in the UG exam. The government had said then that it would “conduct a thorough assessment of the robustness of the NEET-PG process to be conducted by the National Board of Examinations for Medical Students”. The government said the decision was taken in the best interest of students. The cancellation of the exam, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of aspiring medics, sparked an outcry, particularly among those who had traveled miles to take the exam. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ordered a committee to examine the complaint.

The cancellation came amid public backlash against the NEET-UG and UGC-NET exams, which confirm university appointments and award research fellowships. Possible malpractices in NEET-UG and UGC-NET exams - Pradhan confirmed last month that students had raised red flags and questions were being sold on the dark web - conducted both exams, the in-charge, SK Singh, who looked at the results, and The Attention the National Testing Agency was rejected. The NET re-exam (the exam was canceled two days after it was held) will be held from July 25 to 27. The NTA was criticized not only by students and parents but also by opposition parties, so much so that its office in Delhi's Okhla district was briefly occupied by a group from the National Union of Indian Students, the student wing of the Indian Parliament. He accused the BJP of “ruining” the education system. The NTA also faces a notice from the Supreme Court (which will be responded to on July 8). Meanwhile, the CBI probe into the NEET-UG case led to numerous arrests and raids at coaching centers, school campuses and other places across the country.

Last week, federal authorities raided seven locations in Gujarat and arrested a school principal and a reporter from a local Hindi newspaper in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. In total, the CBI has filed six FIRs or first information reports, including the report filed when the case was handed over to it by the government. The remaining five cases include three in Bihar, one each in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Officials had previously told NDTV that a nationwide corruption ring may be involved. The NEET riots have turned into a major political mess between the Congress-led India bloc and non-aligned opposition parties, including Naveen Patnaik's BJD, which is targeting the ruling BJP. In Parliament, non-Congress Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun led the call for a debate while both houses debated a motion to thank President Draupadi Murmu for her speech. The controversy over the NEET exam (almost 2.4 million students took the exam on May 5) erupted last month after the results were announced. The first red flag was an unusually high score. 67 students, including six from a coaching center, achieved the highest score to date with a maximum score of 720. According to the report from the state's tax office, 1,563 students were also surveyed about awarding "credit points" instead of the examination method.
