Finance Minister Piyush Goyal tables Interim Budget 2019 as this is the election year.

Earlier there were reports that of presenting a full Budget but Center has struck down those reports .

As this is the interim budget and full fledged budget will be presented after After elections that is in July.

So, the vote on account will be only for three months.

Interim budget is generally used to make big announcements as it is before the Lok Sabha elections it is done to attract the voters in elections.

But history says it has not always worked for the party which is in power.

The ruling BJP party may try to win back its core vote base of traders and upper caste and also while continuing to woo the OBCs, dalits and the tribals.

The main opposition, Congress, has asked the government not to deviate from the norm of a Vote on Account said that government should stick only to provisions for the next three months.

BJP leaders criticize Congress that they themselves have breached this convention and have no right to preach them.
