
The Supreme Court disclosed the details of Vijay Mallya’s assets to the SBI-led consortium of banks upon the attorney general Mukul Rohatgi’s request. Details concerning the asserts of his three children and estranged wife were also released. A time period of two months was given by the court to banks for information about the action to be taken based on the assert details.
Mallya was slammed by the court for dishonoring its April 7 order, directing him to ‘undertake depositing a specific amount in SC, give a possible date for his return to India and disclose all properties held by him and family members in India and abroad’. The consortioum of banks is pursuing Mallya for over Rs 9,000 crore loan default payments.
The liquor baron Vijay Mallya's plea was refused by Supreme Court, to keep his overseas assets confidential. The apex court has ordered to reveal his assets to banks for debt recovery.

Banks tell the apex court, "We will even approach the UK government, if required, for recovery of loans through liquidation of Vijay Mallya's overseas assets,"
"Mallya is a fugitive fleeing from justice. If he really wants to come, a one-way travel permit could have been arranged," said the Attorney General.
Mr. Mallya said, "Asking for my overseas assets is a violation of my privacy."
