The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in plans to take Sreesanth as one of his candidates for Kerala Assembly polls, which are scheduled to be held on 16 May 2015. Meanwhile, Sreesanth revealed that he would take a decision on Wednesday over contesting in the elections. However, he did not disclose anymore details.
Sreesanth told PTI that, “I will let you know my decision.” Sreesanth’s family members revealed that he got a call form one of the top BJP leaders in Delhi. The leader requested him to take part in the election from the Thrippunithura Assembly constituency. They are revealed that the former cricketer would probably meet Amit Shah, BJP chief, during his visit to Kerala.
According to Kerala BJP President Kummanam Rajasekharan the State leadership is not aware of the move but “things will be clear in two days.”
