AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited the flood-impacted regions across Andhra Pradesh, and videos of his visit went viral. He had stayed low until yesterday as police asked him not to come to the flood-affected areas, citing concerns about crowd control. He visited the regions to assess the damage caused by the recent rains in the state. His tour included areas in Kakinada district, Pithapuram region, Gollaprolu, and others in the Godavari districts. He also interacted with people who were impacted by the floods. Pawan Kalyan announced a substantial donation of Rs 6 crores for flood relief, with Rs 1 crore allocated for Telangana and the rest for Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan Kalyan lauded the efforts made by AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the swift response from the state officials. Relief operations are ongoing, with the government prioritizing the restoration of water and food supplies. A 100-day sanitation drive has been launched in all the affected villages. The Centre also announced significant funding for relief activities and to restore normalcy. Chandrababu ordered immediate action to repair the damaged walls of Prakasam Barrage, and repair work is underway. Flood levels in the Prakasam Barrage are decreasing daily, and waterlogging in the Vijayawada region has almost subsided. Pawan Kalyan urged officials to offer assistance to all those in need.
