KBC 12 contestant, Anil Kumar from Bihar failed to answer the question for 12.5 lakhs. He quit the show without answering the question and took home a prize money of Rs. 6.40 lakh.

The December7 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati began with the arrival a new contestant from Bihar. After winning the fastest-finger round, Anil Kumar made it to the hot seat opposite to the host, Amitabh Bachchan. Anil Kumar was born and brought up in Bihar and is currently working as a station master in Odisha in Indian Railways.

On the game show, Anil talked about getting marries at a young age and the set of responsibilities that came with it. He also gave comic relief to the intense show by talking about a funny story about his wedding day where he made everything awkward after getting drunk. The host and the audience had a hearty laugh about this.

His need for financial help to clear his several debts is what motivated him to get on the show. He played the game fairly well till he arrived at the 12.5 lakh question . He had exhausted all his lifelines by then and could not proceed further and after further insistence by the host, Amitabh Bachchan.. Since Anil was not sure of the answer, he decided to quit the show and took home a prize money of 6.4 lakh.
