Former first lady of the United States Michelle Obama reportedly on Saturday assisted a Chicago couple tie the knot, officiating a wedding at the city's Theater on the Lake.
According to a report by USA Today, Obama officiated the wedding for Stephanie Rivkin and Joel Sircus.
One attendee took it to social media by posting a video of Obama reciting vows into a microphone with the caption "Holy Moly. That moment when Michelle Obama officiated at your (cousin's) wedding."
However, the Instagram post was later deleted.
Obama's relation to the couple comes through the bride, whose parents both have ties in politics, according to a report by USA Today.
Rivkin is the daughter of Robert S. Rivkin and Cindy Moelis, a former Chicago Deputy Mayor and who is currently president of the Pritzker Traubert Foundation. The foundation was started by Penny Pritzker, who served as former President Obama's commerce secretary.
Obama is expected to attend voter registration events in Las Vegas and Miami this week. She is serving as a co-chair of 'When We All Vote', a nonprofit initiative intended at increasing voter turnout.
"Becoming" (Book)
Later this year, Obama is geared up to go on a book tour, to promote her new memoir, titled "Becoming," which talks about her time in the White House, her role as a mother, and many more.
The tour kicks off in Chicago on November 13, with seats and VIP packages fetching high prices.
