According to reports popular playback singer and RJ Suchitra Karthik may be heading to London for treatment. Her husband Karthik Kumar said that her wife’s condition is indicative of a certain emotional state’ which his family is trying to understand and address.
Suchitra put the spotlight on the exploitation of women in Tamil film industry by exposing pictures from private parties and obscene videos of some trap celebrities such as Dhanush, Trisha Krishnan, Hansika Motwani, Andrea Jeremiah, Anirudh Ravichander and Sanchita Shetty.
She is currently in Chennai and her treatment plan is not yet decided by the family.
Suchitra also leveled some serious allegations against singer Chinmayi through a string of controversial tweets last week on Friday night.
Later, Suchitra went live on a news channel and said that her Twitter account was hacked three weeks back. “I actively expressed my support for Jallikattu during the student protests and subsequently, my Facebook account was hacked. Immediately, I deactivated my profile temporarily. Three weeks back, my Twitter account was also compromised and I sent an e-mail to the Twitter team to deactivate my page. I was under the impression that my account was taken down until I received a call from Aditi Ravindranath from Dhanush’s office who requested me to delete the series of controversial tweets, images and videos from my account overnight,” she said.
She said “since the tweets indulged in severe character assassination of a lot of celebrities, she has filed a complaint with the cyber crime department along with her lawyer”. She has never withdrawn her deactivation request to Twitter.
She said that she has been married for 10 years and she is going through a divorce.
She said that the ruthless hackers have brought the divorce case into light, which boggled her mind completely.
“I’m being a victim in this whole drama. I’m not sure who is taking revenge on whom. They have used my Twitter account to stage all this and I don’t have a clue what’s happening,” Suchitra added.
