The big names in entertainment are all set for the concert in Houston, organizing to help its flood victims.
The event named 'Houston Recovers with Clay Walker and Friends' is scheduled to be held on Friday, May 20 2016 at the Lakewood Church. It will begin at 8pm. The big entertainment celebrities including Clay Walker, Danny Gokey, La Mafia's Oscar de la Rosa, Brian McKnight, Darius Rucker, Tim McGraw, Regina Belle, CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams will participate in the program.
Mayor Turner said that, "So many people in our area suffered extreme loss due to these recent floods. Many lost more than possessions jobs, family members, homes and in some cases their livelihood." "It is our privilege to come together and help our fellow Houstonians recover. I thank all of the wonderful people who have made this opportunity to help others in a big way possible."
The organizers are encouraging people to attend the program and contribute to the Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund at HoustonRecovers.org.
According to organizers, the event is free to all. The amount raised from the event will go to the Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund, while donations will stay in our community.
The fund will be helpful to provide financial assistance to Houston area residents in Harris, Montgomery and Ft. Bend counties who are suffering due to flood last month.
