Singer Shakira has become the 'most liked' artist on Facebook. Recently the Grammy-awarded singer achieved the feat of becoming the first female celebrity to get 100 million likes on Facebook.

Shakira says she feels honored and humbled on reaching the milestone. The singer says that social media, specifically Facebook has been of great help to her and other artists.

The Colombian singer says social media has brought artists closer to people by bridging the gap between the stage and the audience, according to reports.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was impressed with Shakira's 100 million likes and wrote: "Congrats! What an amazing milestone for an amazing person" on Shakira's Facebook page.

To celebrate her achievement on Facebook, the singer posted a video of her memorable Facebook moments through the years. It notable moments included her album covers, charity work, a photo with baby bump and cute picture of her son, Milan.

The 'Waka Waka' singer also posted a video thanking fans for supporting her.
