To what lengths could you go to feed your obsession? The answer would vary. But for a Brazilian man his obsessed with Korean culture made him go through 10 plastic surgery operations to look Asian.

Xiahn went to the extraordinary lengths to change his appearance after being exposed to Korean culture during his one-year study programme in the country. The 25-year old Brazilian man was originally known as Max.

Xiahn had become addicted to Korean soap operas and K-Pop was overcome by the desire to look like a native Korean with the help of plastic surgery.

He had a major surgery on his eyes to get the Asian eye look, followed by small procedures to perfect the appearance.

After his cosmetic surgery his appearance is closer to the Asian look. And now he wishesh to move to South Korea as soon as possible.

People have had mixed reactions to his transformed appearance. But Xiahn is ok with it and says it's just like ‘any other thing in this world’ some people like it and some don’t.

However, Xiahn still feels Brazilian at heart though he had a drastic transformation in his appearance. He feels that the country’s diversity has helped him feel Brazilian as there are many mixed Brazilian people back home. 

Xiahn feels a Korean person born in Brazil looks as Brazilian as a German person. Inspite of changing the shape of his eyes, Xiahn says he's still a Brazilian.
