Christian Bale is likely to play the role of Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic based on the life of late Apple Computer co-founder. Sony studio is in talks with Bale for its upcoming project, after talks broke off with Leonardo DiCaprio to play the role of Jobs.
Bale was the original choice to play the role of Jobs when David Fincher was in negotiation to direct the project. Fincher exited the movie over compensation and control issues. Now Sony has started talks with the actor, according to reports.
Danny Boyle will direct the untitled Steve Jobs movie that will be based on a book by Walter Isaacson and adapted by Aaron Sorkin. Steve Jobs biopic is one of the most anticipated movies in recent years. After Steve Jobs' death, Sony optioned the best-seller in 2011.
After DiCaprio's exit from the project, Christian Bale is the front-runner to play the iconic tech figure. The biopic features actors Matt Damon, Bradley Cooper and Ben Affleck.
Scott Rudin is producing the project along with Guymon Casady and Mark Gordon.
