Cate Blanchett and Christian Bale have been cast in the movie Jungle Book: Origins. Blanchett and Bale give voice to their characters in the upcoming Warner Bros. film.
Christian Bale will play the role of Bagheera the panther, while Cate Blanchett will be playing the character of the sinister python Kaa.
Andy Serkis will direct the project.
Jungle Book: Origins cast now includes actors Bale, Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hollander, Peter Mullan, Naomie Harris and Eddie Marsan in the role of animal characters.
The human boy Mowgli will be played by young actor Rohan Chand. Andy Serkis will give voice to Baloo the bear, while Cumberbatch will play the role of the tiger Shere Khan.
'Jungle Book: Origins' is based on Rudyard Kipling story. The film centers around the orphaned boy named Mowgli, who was raised by wolves in the jungle.
Callie Kloves has adapted the script for the film. Steve Kloves and Jonathan Cavendish are producing the project.
The film will be a mix of live action, motion capture and CG animation.
