Emma Stone will make her Broadway debut in the musical 'Cabaret'. The "Magic in the Moonlight" actress will replace Michelle Williams as singer Sally Bowles.
The 25-year-old actress will star opposite Alan Cumming in 'Cabaret'. Emma will begin on November 11.
"Cabaret" is set during the rise of Nazism in Berlin. It's based on Christopher Isherwood's 1939 novel "Goodbye to Berlin". The novel chronicles the German capital's cabaret nightlife during the last few years of the Weimar Republic.
Michelle Williams will play the role of Sally Bowles (earlier played and made famous by Liza Minnelli) till November 9. While Alan Cumming will be playing the emcee until March 29 at the Kit Kat Klub.
"Cabaret", which opened at Studio 54 on April 24 has been lavished with rave reviews. One publishing house described it as a "thrilling production, which is even sharper than the previous round.
