Fans of Batman and Superman will now be able to see their favourite characters sooner on the big screen. The 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' release date has been preponed to avoid clash with 'Captain America 3'.

In order to avoid a direct confrontation with Captain America 3, Zack Snyder's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on March 25, 2016 instead, during the Easter weekend, instead of May 6, 2016.

Batman v. Superman, staring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, was expected to change release date as the May 2016 weekend first blocked by Marvel Studios and Disney.

Warner Bros. and DC Comics have announced 'Batman v. Superman' new release date, along with the dates for nine other untitled projects from DC Comics through June 2020. The release dates suggest that Warner Bros. will produce two superhero films a year from 2016.

The move indicates Warners and DC have declared an all out war on Marvel and Disney, which have produced majority of the superhero titles.
