The upcoming movie was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2014, and was appreciated. The featurette looks intense and promises to keep audiences on their seat's edge.

'The Rover’ is an upcoming crime drama film set in Australia. Guy Pearce plays the role of Eric, who is a cold loner. He is hell bent to track down a criminal gang that steals his car. Eric takes the help of Rey (Robert Pattinson), who has been left behind by his gang during a recent escape. He is the gang's inexperienced member.

‘The Rover’ is set in the future world, dominated by lawlessness. Guy Pearce plays the character of a man angered by everything he witnesses around him.

Robert Pattinson says that his character Rey had been disregarded his entire life. He never really thought for himself and whenever Eric challenges him, it's actually a first for him.
