Noomi Rapace is likely to star opposite Will Smith in Legendary Entertainment's 'Brilliance'. The actress is in negotiations to to join the movie, which would be an adaptation of the Marcus Sakey novel.

The story in the book is set in a world where a small group of people have extraordinary abilities and are called "brilliants." The normal people are engulfed in panic, bringing a civil war like situation in the world, exactly what is desired by an evil faction.

Rapace will portray the character of a tattooed and pierced brilliant, who has been identified terrorist by the current government.

Will Smith will play the role of a federal agent, also a brilliant. He has great hunting gifts and has been assigned to hunt down a terrorist, also a brilliant who harbours the intension to start a civil war.

David Koepp has written the script for the movie, which will be directed by Julius Onah. The project is being produced by Joe Roth, Thomas Tull, and Jon Jashni.
