Thomas Middleditch and Nina Dobrev have been cast in 'The Final Girls' from Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions. Middleditch and Dobrev will join Adam Devine and Alexander Ludwig in the horror comedy.

Todd Strauss-Schulson will direct the project, which will be produced by Michael London and Janice Williams.

The script revolves around Malin Akerman and Taissa Farmiga, who are starring in the meta movie. In the film a girl along with her friends, are transported to an iconic ’80s horror flick, where the girls mother(Akerman), a famous scream queen, was the star and had deceased recently. The girls have to get out of the horror movie inorder to survive its killer.

Mark Fortin and Joshua John Miller have penned the script for this horror movie.

The film will begin its production next week in Louisiana.
