Scott Caan is likely to be cast in 'Rock the Kasbah'. If negotiations work out between the filmmakers and Caan, then he will replace Shia LeBeouf in the project.

LaBeouf moved out of the project last week for disclosed reason but reportedly under amicable circumstances.

Barry Levinson is directing the all-star comedy. The Barry Levinson comedy has Bill Murray as the lead actor.

Besides Bill Murray, the other stars featuring in the project include Kate Hudson, Bruce Willis, Danny McBride and Zooey Deschanel. Caan's role in the movie is that of an ammo-dealing con man. Caan and his partner (McBride) will hustle Murray in Kabul's war zone.

The story of 'Rock the Kasbah' is about a former rock manager (Murray) who takes his client to Afghanistan on a USO tour. Murray finds himself abandoned in Kabul. He is penniless and has lost  his passport, when he discovers a young girl with extraordinary voice. Murray helps her to win Afghanistan's version of American Idol.

The movie is at its preproduction state and is being produced by Venture Forth, QED International and Open Road.
