Paul Giamatti will play a brief cameo in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'. Giamatti will portray the character of Rhino, the villain, in the superhero sequel.

Giamatti will make a brief appearance of four minutes in the movie alongside alongside Emma Stone, Andre Garfield and Jamie Foxx.

Director Marc Webb stated that Rhino has a scene with Electro (Jamie Foxx) and the Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan) that would last for four minutes. He said that he was aware that fans of Rhino are not happy, but the story has to intertwine and there are too many villains in the film who need to be given space.

The movie is due to hit theatres in UK on April 18.
