Actor James Badge Dale is likely to feature in the film 'Spectral'. Negotiations are on between Dale and the filmmakers.

Legendary has described the movie to be a supernatural thriller. Nic Mathieu will direct the film that is being termed by the production house as a ghostly take on 'Black Hawk Down'.

The story of 'Spectral' revolves around a special operations team, which has taken upon itself to fight supernatural beings. The supernatural need to be destroyed as they have taken over New York City.

The original idea for the film is of Ian Fried while George Nolfi wrote the script, which was re-written by John Gatins.

James Badge Dale's movies like 'Miss Meadows' co-staring Katie Holmes, indie drama 'A Relative Stranger' and Joe Carnahan’s 'Stretch' is scheduled for release in 2014.
