Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise may team-up again for Fox's car-racing project, which seeks to make a film on A. J. Baime's book titled Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans. Pitt and Cruise had not teamed-up again since 1994 when they had first featured together. Talks are on to bring Pitt onboard with Cruise in 'Go Like Hell'. Cruise will play the role of Carroll Shelby, the car designer, in the racing project, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
'Go Like Hell' is being produced by Lucas Foster and Alex Young, who intend to film the true story of the 1966 Le Mans race. The producers want to portray the competition between Italian sports car designer Enzo Ferrari and the Ford Motor Company that resulted into the 1966 race. The racing movie would be directed by Joseph Kosinski.
Apparently, in 2009 Pitt was to feature in the racing project with Michael Mann as the director. Pitt still has interest in the project and is reportedly in talks with the new team. Brothers Jez and John-Henry Butterworth have written the new script which has been sent to Pitt.
