Selena Gomez made a surprise visit to dozens of sick children on Wednesday afternoon at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. The American singer-actress spent time with each of them, hearing their stories, giving them hugs, sharing laughs and encouraging the kids.

Gomez, who was attired in white top, black pants and wide-brimmed hat, visited the Children's Hospital Los Angeles to talk to the sick kids and their families, according to reports.

The 22-year old singer shared some photos from her visit on Instagram. One of the pics shows Selena posing with a girl whom she called "princess".

In another picture the pop star is seen talking to a boy who is sitting on his bed while Gomez has her head resting on her hand.

Selena shared her excitement at visiting the children on Twitter saying: "Spending time with @ChildrensLA :)

The hospital was full of gratitude for the visit that cheered up the sick patients.
Children's Hospital LA tweeted: "Thank you for visiting and spending a special moment with our kids!"
