Attention all Jack Sparrow lovers! The new "Pirates of the Caribbean" has a release date. That's right!
The release date of the next installment of our favorite pirate flick "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise has been announced. Walt Disney Studios has sounded off that the fifth installment of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise will open in the theaters on July 7, 2017. That's a long wait, we know. But better late than never, isn't it?
While not much is known about the film's plot, we hope it will have all the adventure and romance and all around swashbuckling fabulousness on the high seas.
The fifth installment will come six years after the fourth installment, “On Stranger Tides,” left Captain Jack on a beach back in 2011.
“Pirates 5” was originally slated for 2015 release, but blame it on “Lone Ranger” misadventure, Disney had to stall the project owing to budgetary concerns and unfinished script.
Here’s to hoping that the new installment will recapture the spark of the first three “Pirates” movies, as even with Johnny Depp, “On Stranger Tides” couldn't really make a cut like the fabulous first three installments.
