Kim Kardashian shocked everyone with her pregnant women comment recently. And now that she realises her folly, the socialite has been defending herself saying she was just "joking".

Kim was asked to advice on fashion for pregnant women. She stunned her interviewer and the rest of the world with the reply that pregnant women should cover themselves with "a big blanket" to hide their bodies.

Kardashian stated that expectant mothers should "never leave the house" if possible. And if they go out they should hide their bodies in a "huge blanket". The comment was probably provoked by her own negative experience when she was pregnant with her baby. Kim was criticised for having put on weight and her fashion sense during those days.

However, after creating the stir now Kim is defending her comments on Twitter. The socialite insists that she was just being "sarcastic". That she was just 'joking' when she gave the maternity recommendations.

Kim tweeted: "I guess you can't be sarcastic when doing interviews! I was asked about tips on pregnancy style...

"I jokingly said pregnant woman should hide/stay in if they looked like I did lol. I said ask Kourt her tips bc she has the best preg style," said Kim.

"I really should start video taping the interviews I do & post on my website so u can see the laughs & how it's really said," Kim further added.

Whether the comment was made 'jokingly' or genuinely is immaterial now. What say Kim Kardashian?
