It was a starry night at Cafe Habana in Malibu as celeb guests trickled at the venue to congratulate the newly betrothed couple — George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin.

The drop-dead-gorgeous pair were joined by some of their famous friends like U2 frontman Bono, Rande Gerber and his supermodel wife Cindy Crawford. The celebration, albeit a low-key one, kicked off at around 7 in the evening.

Clooney looked calm and super happy as he lounged around in a casual blue shirt and a pair of denims with his attorney-to-be-wife in a green T-shirt and floral shorts, both totally encapsulating the beach spirit.

The restaurant patrons and people were thrilled to have the celeb couple around and said that it was the best Mother's Day celebration they could have hoped for.

But the fun didn't begin there! Apparently, the happy couple have been on a holiday for a while and were photographed together in Cabo San Lucas.

The 53-year-old Clooney and his 36-year-old stunning fiancee had a romantic dinner followed by an evening of fun and friends. The two are likely to marry very soon.

This would be Clooney's second trip down the aisle. He was formerly married to Talia Balsam (1989-1993). Post his split from his first wife, he vowed never to marry again. But all that is history now.
