Bob Saget, here is your new female counterpart — Meg Ryan! Yes, the 'French Kiss' and “You've Got Mail” star is all set to star in CBS' much buzzed about spinoff of “How I Met Your Mother” — “How I Met Your Dad”. But there is a twist.
Ryan won't be appearing on-screen, but will be only doing the voice-over for 'Future Sally', the older version of Greta Gerwig's lead character.
In the original series, Bob Saget had offered the future voice for Josh Radnor's Ted. CBS and 20th Century Fox , however, remained tight-lipped on Ryan's casting.
“Though HIMYD has yet to receive a series order, with CBS announcing its pickups at its Upfront
presentation in May, the comedy is likely to be find itself on the network's fall lineup,” reveals E!Online.
Starring Gerwig, Nick D'Agosto, Anders Holm and Drew Tarver, the new series will narrate how the free-spirited Sally, who, along with the help of her friends, found the father of her children, just as her first marriage was hitting an end.
