Big B and Superstar of Bollywood Amithabh Bachchan has turned 72 now on Saturday. He spent his birthday with his whole family and he feels that there is no greater gift than spending valuable time with your family. Big B thanked everyone who have been part of his life through his happiness and his loneliness. Big B said that “Moving to 73 from 72. I have been poured with wishes and lot of affectionate greetings. Thank you everyone who wished me and will remember every wish and greeting. I feel I am the luckiest”.

Amithabh Bachchan has also expressed his love towards friends, fans and his family through his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com. Amithabh rose to stardom in 1970s with some superhits like Zanjeer, Sholay and Deewar. His career and health saw some huge downfall in the early 80s but Bachchan never lost faith and stood back. "...it is not a day to contemplate...it is a time to deliver thanks and gratefulness to all those that have been responsible for my 72 in completion and my 73 to begin," posted Big B. Big B is currently busy shooting for Shamithab in the direction of R Balki starring Dhanush and Akshara Haasan.
