In a country where the craze for cricket and biopics goes hand in hand, what better way to mint in more moolah than make a biopic on a cricketer. Toeing the lines of this idea, filmmakers decided to make a biopic on who else but the captain of our Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

MS Dhoni too had given a thumbs up to the idea. Sushant Singh Rajput was roped in to play the cricketer and Neeraj Pandey was called in to wield the megaphone.

The 33-year-old actor, thrilled at the opportunity, had already started his groundwork on the role, extensively studying Dhoni's interviews and following his every match and mannerisms closely.

However, now we hear that all the plans have been thrown off rails. Apparently, Dhoni has asked for Rs 45 crore for the film that has left the producers reeling. Being a modest budget flick with no mega casting, it would be impossible for the makers to mint in such moolah.

Now all the producers can do is to convince Dhoni for a more realistic fee or shelve the plans for good.
