The 'Mozart of Madras', A.R. Rahman has recreated his magic again - this time for Steven Spielberg's food fairytale titled "The Hundred Foot Journey." That's right!

Starring Om Puri (in the role of Mr Kadam) and Helen Mirren (Madame Mellory), the film puts forth a contrast between Indian and French cultures.

Rahman has remixed a gamut of Bollywood melodies and old Indian classics for this Hollywood potboiler.

Apparently, the Kadam family plays these songs in their restaurant, causing a din in the neighborhood and leaving Madame Mellory, the owner of a Michelin-starred French restaurant miffed. The two families fight, but in course of the film, they discover their compassion through gastronomical delights.

Talking about the US premiere of the film, Puri says, "We Indians love our music and when we play it, we make sure that our neighbors hear it too. A sequence like this is beautifully portrayed in the film which actually establishes the clash aptly."

“The Hundred Foot Journey”, a Reliance Entertainment and DreamWorks production, releases worldwide on August 8.
