For director Anurag Kashyap and actress Kalki Koechlin, it was nothing less than a fairytale romance.

The met on the sets of 'Dev D' in 2009, fell in love and got married in Ooty on April 30, 2011.

Kalki made a pretty bride in a red and white sari while Anurag looked in his element in a traditional dhoti. Their wedding pictures had 'they lived happily ever after' written on them.

But trouble hit their paradise when Huma Qureshi entered the party, and things have never been the same ever since.

Gossip mill went into an overdrive six months ago, postulating that the 'marriage' was over between Kalki and Anurag with the actress stating that she will never work with hubby again in any of her films.

The couple was rarely spotted together after that. Buzz is that they are currently living apart and have filed for a divorce.

On Tuesday, the couple released a joint statement stating "We are not filing for divorce, we are taking time off from each other to sort out our issues."

That only adds more fuel to our fiery speculations.
