K Raghurama Krishna Raju, a rebellious YSRC parliamentarian hailing from Narasapuram constituency, has been left in a quandary as both BJP and TDP have disregarded his candidacy for the upcoming polls. He is well-known for criticizing Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's administration policies openly.Raju's foray into politics commenced with the YSRC, but due to his inability to secure a party ticket for the 2014 elections he left and joined first the BJP before switching over to TDP. However, in 2019 he rejoined YSRC and successfully contested from Narasapuram Lok Sabha constituency with a majority extending beyond 31,000 votes.

In November of that year though Raju became estranged from Jagan-led leadership owing disagreements concerning their decision regarding introducing English medium courses in government schools which resulted in him being arrested by Andhra Pradesh CID charged on sedition grounds akin 'disrupting inter-religious accord.'Following his departure from the YSRC, he aligned himself closely with BJP leaders and expressed a desire to run for Lok Sabha elections on their ticket. Nonetheless, Raju was ultimately denied this opportunity by the party. He subsequently attempted to switch allegiances to TDP; reportedly pushing Telugu Desam's leader N Chandrababu Naidu for Narasapuram constituency candidacy. However, due in part because of the alliance between TDP and BJP parties at that time, Raju was still unable to secure a nomination as election candidate under either political entity’s banner.
