Congress party president Rahul Gandhi is playing the same trump card in Telangana as well. The Telangana Garjana meeting held in Khammam was a huge success. While addressing the public Rahul Gandhi said, he will give ₹4,000/- pension for the old age, physically handicapped, artisans and other categories, which is double the amount.

BRS chief KCR has raised it to ₹2,016/- for the senior citizens and widows after coming into power under the Aasara Pension scheme and now Rahul Gandhi has made it double the amount, which was a shocker to BRS. Rahul Gandhi is also getting ready with more freebies same like Karnataka before the state assembly elections. He is also planning welfare schemes for poor people, Dalits, women, farmers, the unemployed, small business and many more. He also promised to return podu lands to the tribals of Telangana, which were taken away by the Telangana government (KCR) from farmers and Dalits.

On the occasion, Rahul Gandhi welcomed Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy into the Congress party. Gaddar as a surprise came onto the dias and hugged Rahul Gandhi. He also welcomed other party leaders to join Congress, who can match the idealogy of the Congress party.
