Nirmala Sitharaman tables Economic Survey: Key Highlights

The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the budget for the year 2022 tomorrow and before this, she tabled the Economic Survey today in the Parliament House after the conclusion of the speeches of the President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said that the economy of the country is growing at 8-8.5 percent in the financial year 2022-23. The GDP growth rate for the current financial year is estimated to be 9.2 percent. Nirmala Sitharaman said that the economy is well placed and the government is all set to take up the challenges in 2022-23. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 11 AM tomorrow after Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey 2022.

The agriculture sector reported a growth of 3.9 percent and the Industrial sector saw a growth of 11.8 percent. The Indian government is expecting a GDP growth of 8-8.5 percent in the next financial years. Several experts responded to the Economic Survey of the country after Nirmala Sitharaman concluded her speech. The Indian aviation sector is on its path for recovery after the pandemic hit the nation hard. India has air travel bubble with 35 nations of the globe. Till December 31st, over 47,000 inbound and outbound flights are operated under the Vande Bharat Mission. Before this, the President Ram Nath Kovind appreciated the government for the vaccination drive after more than 75 percent of the eligible adults received both the doses of coronavirus vaccine in the country.
