If India is freed from present lockdown, the COVID-19 cases will keep increasing by Mid-July- said by an epidemiologist.

Currently, India is at a lower rate in terms of coronavirus death cases compared to other countries in the world. But if the lockdown is lifted up on May 30th, then India will witness raised up COVID-19 cases.

The epidemiologist India Giridhara R Babu from the Public Health Foundation said, "We have to prevent transmission going from urban to rural.”

He said that Bengaluru is not badly affected liike Mumbai or Delhi as the control in the city was strict. We must continue the same seriousness. for a while more and not let down grip on the virus at this point which can become worse, in case of taking it for granted.

He said that strict social distancing and low crowd is to be continued to reduce the virus spread. Still, cities must be the main focus and slum areas must be monitored to manage the crowd.

This can at least save the rural places to prevent from the virus. If India can follow the social distancing to 60-70%, then at least the coronavirus cases will be under control.
