Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday obtained the permission from special court to sell the 173 paintings and 11 cars which are belonged to Nirav Modi.

ED will put 173 paintings on auction owned by Modi which are valued around Rs 57 crore and also eleven vehicles which includes Rolls Royce, Porsche, Mercedes and Toyota Fortuner.

The court has also allowed Income Tax Department to sell another 68 paintings seized by it as part of separate probe conducted on Nirav Modi, ED said. According to officials the public auction will be held later this month.

The special has also issued Non-Bailable Warrant against Ami Modi,wife of Nirav Modi on request of ED.

This development comes hours after Nirav Modi was arrested from Holborn metro station in London Tuesday.
