After Uttar Pradesh, BSP and SP Announce Aliiance in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand

After their alliance in Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party and Akilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party on Monday announced their poll pact in states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

In Madhya Pradesh out 29 seats Samajwadi Party will field its candidates in three seats and the rest of seats will contested by Bahujan Samaj party.

In Uttarakhand SP will contest in one seat out of five seats and the remaining will be contested by Mayawati’s party.

According to the joint statement, SP will field its candidates in Balaghat, Tikamgarh and Khajuraho seats in Madhya Pradesh and in Garhwal (Pauri) seat in Uttarakhand.

Last Month, both parties have agreed to fight 2019 Lok Sabha elections together.

In Uttar Pradeh, both BSP and SP formed an alliance leaving Congress party out of it. But agreed not to field any candidates Amethi and Rae Bareli which are currently held by Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi respectively.

Bahujan Samaj Party will contest in 38 seats and Samajwadi Party will field its candidates in 37 seats and 3 seats were given to Ajit Singh's Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) out total 80 seats
